The Priory Hotel, originally the rectory for the Benedictine brothers of St. Mary's Church, was built in 1888 in the Italianate style. Adjacent to the hotel is Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall at The Priory, a large hall of stained glass, Corinthian columns, an organ, and event facilities. One quarter-mile from the inn is Priory Fine Pastries, founded by the parents of the current innkeeper.
